Taekwon-Do Competition

Dear Instructor,
It is with the greatest pleasure that, on behalf of the Jee-Goo and Brooklodge Schools
of Taekwon-Do, we would like to cordially invite both you and your students to the
Jee-Goo and Brooklodge Friendly Tournament to be held in Little Island Sports
Complex, Cork on Saturday, 27th of April, 2013.
I sincerely hope that you and your students will join us in Cork for this event.
The competition will be run under A.E.T.F. rules, with divisions for male and female,
senior and junior for patterns and sparring. In addition, a special technique section
(overhead kick) will be held for those aged 12 and under. With the provision of
sufficient umpires, four rings will be run to ensure that the competition runs as
efficiently as possible. Each club must provide an umpire, however, we encourage as
many black belts as possible to practice and improve their umpiring skills by taking
part on the day.
Please note it is compulsory for all competitors to wear head gear. Shin-guards
and gum-shields are compulsory for all competitors while groin guards are
mandatory for male competitors. Each club with attending students must put
forward an umpire.
Attached, you will find the proposed categories that may be amended pending
numbers.
Venue: Little Island Sports Complex, Little Island Cork.
Times: Competitors 10.00 sharp
Price:
(1) 10th & 9th Kup (there is no sparring for these grades): Juniors 12 euro; Seniors 15 euro
(2) All other grades (regardless of what sections participant is competing in): Juniors 20 euro; Seniors 25 euro

All sections will be divided into male and female and then into lightweight and heavyweight
where appropriate.
